My mother was a Branch Manager with the Department of Commerce Federal Credit Union. I graduated from Howard University School of Business, Class of 2001.

How long have you been with FedChoice? What is the secret for its success?

I have been an employee for three years, and the ideas, products, and services that I have recommended and proposed have been accepted and approved by the board. I am truly looking forward to 2025, once the items are in place and up and running.

Who were your mentors?

I have been fortunate to have several mentors who influenced me greatly, including:

Marlon Cook: First cousin and Financial Director at FDIC (Accounting Dept. Retired)

How is working for a credit union different from any other work?

Working for a Credit Union gives you an opportunity to connect with people for meaningful relationship building with a desire to exceed members’ expectations and bring awareness to unknown financial opportunities. It’s the ability to speak with people and provide them with a level of comfort about our programs, processes, and timelines.

What is the most enjoyable part of working at FedChoice?

The most enjoyable part about working at FedChoice is the culture and the ability to recognize change and implement a strategy to ensure that the change takes place.

Why is community engagement important to you?

Community engagement is important to me because financial freedom is not taught in school, and we need to spread the knowledge.

What is your life’s motto and why? What do you like to do in your free time?

My life’s motto is “Each One Teach One” and “Strive for Greatness.” It’s about helping others and passing down knowledge that will ensure others have an opportunity to experience some sort of financial success!

I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, my favorite sport is basketball, and I am a motorcycle enthusiast.

Do you have a special message for our members?
