FedChoice FCU Volunteers Share their Knowledge at School Without Walls at Francis Stevens

Giving Tuesday is not just about giving money, it is also about sharing your time and volunteering. We are so fortunate to have passionate volunteers, like Mike Martin and Cassie Lyons at FedChoice Federal Credit Union.

Mike and Cassie delivered a fantastic educational session about the Credit Union difference, saving and budgeting, identity theft, and credit scores at The Millionaire’s Club meeting at School Without Walls at Francis Stevens in Washington, DC. The students were very engaged and excited to learn.

Here is what Joseph Gibbons, the Financial Literacy Club facilitator, said:
“Their presentation wasn’t just excellent; it was a lively beacon of engagement for our students…Notes were taken in an after-school club meeting! It warms my heart to witness such dedication.

The commitment of the FedChoice team to our students shone through the thoughtfully provided handouts and the delightful raffles – turning our session into a joyous, educational, and enlightening career journey for our club members. My gratitude overflows for the exceptional outreach by FedChoice and its Foundation. The enthusiasm in the room was infectious; our meeting could have easily been extended another hour.”

This testimonial makes us all so proud of the work that we all do – helping these amazing kids to become financially savvy and successful in their lives.

Thank you all for your help in making this happen!
