FCF’s Financial Empowerment Grant Supports Oaklands Elementary School
Thanks to Vizo Financial Corporate CU Financial Empowerment Grant, the FedChoice Charitable Foundation (FCF) provided funding for students’ snacks at Oaklands Elementary School (OES) in Laurel, MD.
Every year, 180 OES students participate in the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program’s state assessment. The students test every day for eight days. “Typically, we provide a snack at the end of testing each day,” shared Amanda Grier, OES Math ILT, Testing Coordinator. “They really energize the children and give them something to look forward to after a long testing session. I’m so honored to be included in your grant and so thankful for the work that you are doing for our students!”
The Foundation is proud to support our partner schools in local underserved communities!
