Brett Noll Wins MDDCCUA 2024 Professional of the Year Award
By Sandra Park, FCF Vice President

We’re thrilled and proud that Brett Noll, President/CEO of FedChoice Federal Credit Union and President of the FedChoice Charitable Foundation, has been awarded the MDDCCUA 2024 Professional of the Year Award. This honor is a testament to Brett’s relentless hard work, exceptional leadership, and dedication to “people helping people.”
Brett’s leadership drove FedChoice to reach a new height, resulting in continuous membership growth, strong capital, and the creation of educational programs and offerings tailored to the federal community. We continue to deepen and expand our relationships with Federal Affinity groups like Blacks In Government, Federally Employed Women, Young Government Leaders, and IRS NextGen, which enable us to Embrace, Educate, and Elevate people to reach their financial goals and aspirations. Most importantly, with dedicated resources to our Foundation, we’re helping more and more underserved communities through various Foundation activities like financial literacy programs, student scholarships, grants for teachers, and Hygiene Drives.
Behind Brett are dedicated FedChoice employees and volunteers who work hard in front and behind the scenes. Brett ensures that FedChoice is not just a workplace but a place where employees feel valued. We implemented increased 401(k) matches, enhanced tuition reimbursement, birthday leave, and a fun employee recognition platform. Under his leadership, our Credit Union’s finances and operations continue to be strong. In 2023, we surpassed our income goal by nearly 19%, reduced the time required to open membership accounts and close loans, and exceeded our return on assets goal.
Honestly, these weren’t achieved with an iron fist or simply by being a nice CEO. Transparency, humility, and a strong belief in the people at FedChoice made us trust, focus, and believe. During the interview with MDDCCUA, I described Brett as “light-hearted” because he doesn’t just sit in his office with gravitas; he walks around the building, has genuine, light-hearted conversations, and shares laughs with people.
This creates enjoyable yet valuable levity to the seriousness of our work environment.
Brett often emphasizes, “Keep serving our members and each other well, and good things will come our way.” Under his leadership, we’re committed to continually improving ourselves to serve our members, community, and one another well!
